Literacy

CancerPOP was created to help patients better understand their diagnosis and sift through treatment options. Cancer is a genetic disease and understanding genetics is critical to understanding cancer diagnosis, prognosis, treatment, and survivorship. The CancerPOP team uses each patient’s cancer genetics to create precision oncology reports. The CancerPOP report explains how the cancer is driven at the molecular level and which specific treatments attack the patient’s cancer. For each patient, the CancerPOP team tests chemotherapies and off-label agents to generate a tailored plan for each patient. The mission of CancerPOP is to increase patient understanding of cancer and raise confidence in fighting cancer.

Nutrition

addon was created to help answer the question of what cancer patients should eat. Safety is our first concern because we don’t want foods or nutritional supplements interfering with chemotherapy. Effectiveness is another priority. Choosing nutrition deserves the same scientific rigor as choosing chemotherapy. The addon team uses each patient’s cancer genetics to create a precision nutrition report. The addon report includes lists of foods and nutrition that should be avoided due to drug interactions and lists of foods and nutrition that may help based on peer-reviewed published research. The mission of addon is to educate and empower patients to eat right while they fight cancer.

Autonomy

Honor My Consents was created to protect every patient’s right for self-determination. Informed consent is a foundational element of health care. The Honor My Consents team creates online informed consent services that increase patient understanding of planned procedures and treatments. The Honor My Consents precision consent service aids physicians in documenting informed consent by tailoring the process to both the physician and the patient.
